Transcript - Young Students, Education is the Key…

I ask every high school class that I go into the seniors, raise your hand, tell me where everyone is applying to college. And it’s remarkable how few people apply to out-of-state schools when, in fact, with a little education and a lot of information, a lot of these kids would be able to apply to out-of-state schools, private schools, that are looking for them, that have money and will give it to them. So I try to provide some education on that because that’s a window and a door to a whole new world, but most people don’t know about it.

Education is the key to keeping kids out of trouble. Because when they’re studying, they’re not out committing crimes. When they’re in extracurricular activities, they’re not out committing crimes. When they’re involved in their schools and their communities, they’re not out committing crimes. They don’t have the time. They’re too busy. Stack them up with these things because that’s what we want to do. We want to create educated citizens that contribute, not people who take things away from the community and it’s education that’s the key to that.
