Roger Slade is a partner with the Miami law firm of Haber Slade. Mr. Slade is an AV rated commercial litigator with over 25 years of business litigation experience. Throughout his career, Mr. Slade has handled all types of commercial litigation matters including business fraud, class-actions for both Plaintiffs and Defendants, real estate litigation, commercial collection matters, employment discrimination claims, general business disputes and international family law matters. Mr. Slade has assisted his clients in collecting millions of dollars. Mr. Slade was recently elected to Florida Super Lawyers for the fifth year in a row. Mr. Slade’s clients range from public companies, real estate developers, financial institutions to small businesses and individuals.

Mr. Slade is a frequent contributor to the Miami-Dade County Bar Bulletin and has authored numerous articles on litigation skills and trial practice. He was the Bulletin’s Editor-in-Chief from 2010-2012. Mr. Slade was formerly an editor of the International Litigation Quarterly, a publication of the American Bar Association. Mr. Slade’s scholarship on litigation can now be found on his blog, which enjoys a substantial readership.

Community Involvement. Mr. Slade most recently served on the Board of the Council for Educational Change which is dedicated to improving the Florida Public Schools. Mr. Slade was until recently the Chairman of the Council’s “Lawyer Alliance” whose purpose it is to connect Florida lawyers to the Public School System. Mr. Slade and his colleagues in the Lawyer’s Alliance have donated hundreds of hours of Pro Bono time to Florida School children by teaching classes in law at local area high schools and by taking students on guided tours of the Florida Court System. Mr. Slade also served as the President of the Doral and Airport West Chamber of Commerce where he was a long time Board Member before becoming President.
